I bought a black lined 8' dome from Exploradome @ NEAF this year. The dome was
on sale for around $1250. Dan & Rodney helped me strap it to the back of my
Tundra...we drove it home from Suffern, NY to Hinsdale, MA
I also purchased the dome rotational kit with wireless components (this is not
the Automated Maxdome kit), I paid around $575.00 for the kit.
Because I purchased the dome and rotation kit at NEAF, both were on sale, so it
was a considerable savings over retail.
All together for the dome and rotational kit:
$1825.00 (give or take a few bucks)
Total for observatory:
$2850.00 (and a lot of hard labor)
